TIME CAPSULE

In 2019, the Saint Stephen A.M.E. Zion Church established its first ever "Time Capsule".  It was the Church's way of leaving a legacy to future generations.  Members were asked to write letters to their future selves or future Church members to provide a snapshot of who we are at the present time.  The Time Capsule will be opened in 2039.  Imagine what it will be like to open the Time Capsule 20 years from now and read our thoughts, ideas, hopes and vision for the future.  The stainless steel Time Capsule is inscribed "Saint Stephen A.M.E. Zion Church, Garland, North Carolina, September 2019 to be opened September 2039".  It was dedicated during the annual Homecoming Celebration on September 8, 2019.  The Time Capsule is beautifully displayed in the vestibule in the front of the Church.
